Every 20th of May, is slated for the awareness for conservation and appreciation of contributions of Bee (Apis spp) to the need of man and the ecosystem at large. 

Bee popularly known as Oyin among the Yorubas (southwestern Tribe in Nigeria)

Bees are flying insects closely related to Wasps and ants. Bee are well known for pollination of flowers and production of  honey and wax. Bees are are genetically diverse; there are over 16,000 known species of bees. They are found on every continent except for the cold Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants ๐ŸŒฑ.

Biologically Bee undergoes comPete metamorphosis that is their life cycle involve the laying of an egg to development through several legless dormant Pupation stage to a mature adult bee. 

Bee is are cultured and extracted for a lot of medicinal purposes
