Animals take in Oxygen[ O 2 ] to break down food and give off Carbon-dioxide[ CO 2 ] as a by product through the process called Respiration. Micro-organisms play a vital role in decomposition of Organic materials. All these are natural processes. T h e existence of life predominantly depends on the radiation, carbon dioxide level, ambient temperature, evaporative power of the atmosphere, solar and water availability , and inorganic nutrients .
