Living for others: A rule of Nature

Living for others: A rule of Nature

by By Ayodele Precious Ayowale

Plants take in Carbon-dioxide[CO2] to manufacture food and give off Oxygen[O2] as a by product through the process called Photosynthesis. Animals take in Oxygen[O2] to break down food and give off Carbon-dioxide[CO2] as a by product through the process called Respiration.

Micro-organisms play a vital role in decomposition of Organic materials.

All these are natural processes.

The existence of life predominantly depends on the radiation, carbon dioxide level, ambient temperature, evaporative power of the atmosphere, solar and water availabilityand inorganic nutrients. All these are a part of nature and its processes.

“The existence of life is greatly affected by human-induced and natural factors”

Natural catastrophes (volcanic eruption, hurricanes, etc.) are also another significant part of nature.

Biodiversity loss (extinction of Browser in grassland through hunting might change a grassland to Savanna over time.)

Agricultural systems practiced by earlier Amazonians has a great effect on how abundant the Amazon is today.

Deforestation increases the level of CO2 in the atmosphere which leads to Green-house effects, resulting in global warmingand changing climatic conditions.

Ozone layer depletion (penetration of UVB and UVC into the Earth) causes death of some microorganisms, skin cancer, cloudiness of the eye, over population etc.

Anthropogenic activities have a great effect on Nature.Ensuring a paradise on Earth would be in our best interestbecause health is wealth.

A healthy environment harbors healthy  people and vice-versa. Practice Afforestation, reduce use of ODS, and aspire to acquire more knowledge about nature. We all have to play a vital role in conserving and sustaining our natural world.

Nature first.
