Nigeria-cameroon chimpanzee The Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee ( Pan troglodytes ellioti ) is a distinct, range-restricted and the most endangered of all the four currently recognized sub-species of chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes). This larger primate lives in the rain forest on the Nigeria-cameroun border. Cross River National park is a home for this endangered species. The Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee is recognised as the most threatened and least distributed of all the common chimpanzee subspecies, and without a dramatic change to human behaviour in the area, there is a likelihood of extinction in the coming decades #EndangeredSpecies #biodiversity #protectwildlife
